If you’ve ever been to Fast Eddie’s Billiards, you know it’s a great place to have a good time, but did you know about the pool hall’s philanthropic history? After donating to organizations such as the American Red Cross, Fast Eddie’s decided to get involved in Colon Cancer Awareness Month.
Throughout March, 19 Fast Eddie’s locations in Texas and Louisiana will hold Pin Up fundraisers to support the Colon Cancer Alliance—and they’ve raised more than $10,000 so far!
“We are trying to become more involved with the community this year by doing at least one charity event per month,” Director of Operations Daren Pickering said. “We chose the Colon Cancer Alliance because one of our regional manager's wives is a colon cancer survivor. We are happy to help and our goal is to raise $20,000 for the cause.”
