We had a great time at last night’s Blue Star Concert in DC! The brainchild of Riccardo De Marchi Trevisan in memory of his mother Daniela Trevisan, the concert raised awareness and funds for colon cancer.

We kicked off the night with a cocktail reception where guests mingled and enjoyed tasty food and drinks. Later, we honored Congressman Charlie Dent for the work he’s done to break down barriers to screening. Congressman Dent brought attention to his sister who was in attendance, as she lost her husband to colon cancer. He also acknowledged the work that we’re doing, like funding research and providing quality patient support services. Blue Star Concert Collage 2

The night ended with an amazing performance by renowned pianist Alessandro Taverna. The talented musician treated the crowd to five beautiful pieces, including an encore, and received multiple standing ovations!

The Blue Star Concert was a wonderful event benefiting a cause we can all get behind: knocking colon cancer out of the top three cancer killers. We hope you can make the next event!

A special thanks to event sponsors Forum One, Sanofi, Phoenix Park Hotel and PhRMA!

Don’t forget, the Colon Cancer Alliance serves as a source of information about colon health. If you have additional questions about colon cancer screening or are in need of support, please contact our free Helpline at (877) 422-2030. We’re here to help.
