Highest Honors: Charity Navigator 4-Star Rating and BBB Accredited Charity Seal
We’re honored to share some wonderful news—the Colon Cancer Alliance received the Accredited Charity seal from the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance (BBB WGA) and the highest rating from Charity Navigator for the fifth straight year. That puts us in the top 5 percent of nonprofits evaluated by this charity watchdog.
The BBB Wise Giving Alliance evaluates national charities using 20 standards for accountability to help donors make informed decisions. BBB WGA doesn’t rank charities; instead, it produces reports to help donors feel confident that their money is truly being put to good use.
Charity Navigator, the nation’s largest and most used charity evaluator, looks at two broad areas of a charity’s performance:
- Financial health
- Accountability and transparency
We’re thrilled to have been given top recognition by both these trusted organizations. We don’t take your trust lightly, and, since the beginning, it has always been one of our top priorities to steward our financial resources well. We’re so proud to be able to carry out our mission to the highest standards.
We couldn’t have achieved this without the hard work from our Board of Directors, Medical Scientific Advisory Committee, staff, and of course, our wonderful community of patients, survivors, caregivers, volunteers and supporters. Thank you! Let’s continue to work together for a world free of colon cancer.
Don’t forget, the Colon Cancer Alliance serves as a source of information about colon health. If you have questions or are in need of support, please contact our free Helpline at (877) 422-2030. We’re here to help!
