That’s right, folks! Registration is officially open for our upcoming Summit Series – Fighting a Smarter War on Colorectal Cancer. We’ve partnered with our friends at Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation and Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center/Otto J. Ruesch Center for the Cure of Gastrointestinal Cancers to ignite this one-of-a-kind event. Meet fellow patients, survivors & caregivers, learn from international medical leaders & help us identify and fill your unmet needs. It’s going to be an inspirational weekend of learning and friendship! Check out summit details below and register now.

The Fighting a Smarter War on Colorectal Cancer Summit has three available sessions that are intended to meet the needs of patients across the colon cancer spectrum, from newly diagnosed to long term survivors. You must register for each session individually. Each Session costs $25. Discounts will be applied if you attend multiple Sessions.

Session I: Advanced Colorectal Cancer Survivorship - the Next Frontier 

December 4 & 5, 2014

Description: Hosted by the Colon Cancer Alliance and Chirs4Life, the Advanced Colorectal Cancer Survivorship - the Next Frontier is designed for stage IV and recurrent metastatic colorectal cancer survivors (5+ years out from diagnosis) and will result in a research paper. The summit focus will be identifying the unmet needs and challenges of the mCRC long-term survivor community. The summit will shed light on the patient perspective and will address psycho-social, physical, financial, family and relationship concerns. Attendance in this Session is limited to 50 survivors in order to have meaningful dialogue among survivors and medical practitioners. As part of the registration process, participants will be selected based on criteria and essay responses. Selected participants will be notified by the end of October and will need to confirm participation immediately. 

Session II : Medical Symposium on Immunotherapy

December 5, 2014

Description: Hosted by Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center/Otto J. Ruesch Center for the Cure of Gastrointestinal Cancers, this 1/2 day summit is designed for those who are newly diagnosed or currently in treatment for colorectal cancer, and their caregivers. Friday, we will focus on the medical issues related to GI cancers, and specifically immunotherapy.

Session III: Patient Symposium

December 6, 2014

Description: Hosted by Georgetown Lombardi Cancer Center/Otto J. Ruesch Center for the Cure of Gastrointestinal Cancers, this 1 day summit is designed for those who are newly diagnosed or currently in treatment for colorectal cancer, and their caregivers. On Saturday, during the patient symposium the morning sessions will be devoted to advancements in colorectal cancer, and side effect management. The afternoon session will consist of non-disease specific breakout sessions. Meet other colorectal cancer and gastrointestinal cancer patients, survivors and caregivers and learn from international medical leaders.
