What’s up with those Never Too Young shirts? We’re glad you asked! We rolled out our new shirts at StupidCancer’s CancerCon in Denver last month and we’re excited to be selling these in our online store. This slogan is our rally cry for the Never Too Young Coalition, where we’ve teamed up to spread the message that you’re never too young for colon cancer.

We launched the Never Too Young campaign after our 2012 National Conference, where our groundbreaking research symposium led to a white paper highlighting the data and facts that could no longer be ignored: colon cancer in those under 50 is on the rise at an alarming rate. Since then, we’ve continued to stay on the pulse of young-onset colon cancer and lead the charge within the community. Our whitepaper was published in the Mayo Clinic Proceedings journal and we’ve put out a PSA, new educational materials and continued to tell the countless stories of patients and family members.

We took the initiative a step further last year and founded the Never Too Young Coalition. By gathering together our patient advocacy partners, medical groups, hospitals and other leaders, our goal is to take this issue to the next level and take on young-onset colorectal cancer through action, education and research. The Coalition is now 35 members strong and includes influential organizations in the United States, the United Kingdom and Australia.

Visit Never Too Young to learn more about young-onset colon cancer, the Coalition and how you can get involved. Also get your own shirt from our store to spread the word!

Don’t forget, the Colon Cancer Alliance serves as a source of information about colon health. If you have additional questions about colon cancer screening or are in need of support, please contact our free Helpline at (877) 422-2030. We’re here to help.
