What does the number 1,000 mean to you? This month, that number has particularly special significance for the Colon Cancer Alliance and the members of this amazing community.
Because two-and-a-half years after the creation of the Blue Note Fund, the signature Colon Cancer Alliance grant program assisting patients in need, we've officially given out more than 1,000 awards. To us, this number means 1,000 lives made a little bit easier and more than $300,000 donated to help inspiring survivors live their best lives. Recipients of our Blue Note Fund awards use the grants for everything from paying for their household utilities to paying for transportation to chemo and more.
Of course, none of this would be possible without the generosity of people like you - those who have made it their mission to help those burdened by the cost of a colon cancer diagnosis. As an organization, we’d like to thank our generous donors and fundraisers who have continued to make the Blue Note Fund a reality and success. Our hearts have been warmed by some of feedback we've gotten from grant recipients; As we celebrate this special milestone, get inspired by these words, too.
