Create a tribute, share their story
Blue Star Tributes
To honor is to recognize and remember.
A Blue Star Tribute page is a unique way to honor a loved one and recognize their journey with colorectal cancer by sharing their story. When you create a tribute, you will receive a personal webpage on the Alliance’s website, which you can customize with your own stories, photos, URL, and more.
A Blue Star Tribute is free to create, and it includes various tools for fundraising. Funds raised on your loved one’s page directly support our critical work in research, prevention, and patient and family support.
A tribute for my mom
After Meagan Dissinger lost her mother, Donna, she set out to find more families like hers. She discovered the Alliance and has become a vocal advocate and fundraiser for colorectal cancer awareness.
After her first contact with the Alliance, Meagan created a Blue Star Tribute in honor of her mother, who had fought colon cancer for more than seven years. On Donna’s page, Meagan wrote:
“She touched many lives, and always gave more than she received. She has taught us to do the same. It is in her memorial that we give to others who are suffering. We will always remember you, Donna, for your inspiration and love.”
One journey, many impacts
When someone views your loved one’s tribute page and makes a donation, their gift directly supports the life-saving work of the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. We exist to end this disease within our lifetime, and we will achieve this through our work in research, prevention, and patient and family support. Our strategic goals include:
Investing $10 million critical research, including $3 million for young-onset research specifically
Saving 100,000 lives through screening and prevention awareness through initiatives and events like our March Forth Philadelphia project or National Conference
Doubling the number of patients and families served
