Inside Anne's Closet
Inside Anne’s Closet is an event started in 2015 to honor the legacy of Anne Paye, who passed away in June 2013 from colorectal cancer. Anne’s son John Paye, a Stanford Hall of Fame Quarterback and former San Francisco 49er, is the Founding Chair. Anne’s death inspired John, together with his sister, Amy Paye Venuto, Steering Committee Co-Chair, to gather family and friends to raise awareness about the need for colorectal cancer screening, especially in under-served communities.
Over $1.6 million raised since the inception of the event

Fashion Show and Luncheon
2015 - 2019
As a homage to Anne’s impeccable style and love of fashion, Inside Anne’s Closet was launched as a fashion show and luncheon, which encouraged guests to get colorectal cancer “out of the closet” and make it “fashionable” to discuss. The fashion show program included models from Stanford University athletics wearing fashions from local retailers and designers, including those from Bloomingdale’s Stanford, Harwood, Luisa Spagnoli, Patrick James and Stella & Dot, as well as designs from Carmen Marc Valvo.
Golf Tournament
2021 - 2023
In the wake of the global pandemic, the annual Inside Anne’s Closet fashion show and luncheon pivoted to a fun-filled day on the links. Founding Chair, John Paye, and his sister Amy Paye Venuto, Steering Committee Co-Chair, were joined by notable celebrities XXX, XXX and XXX in support of ending colorectal cancer.
