Vice President of Prevention

We are seeking a talented and hardworking individual to lead our prevention and screening efforts as the Vice President of Prevention for our Philadelphia Colorectal Cancer Prevention Project.


The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national organization committed to ending colorectal
cancer within our lifetime. We help patients and families, survivors and caregivers, navigate
their diagnosis and treatment, connecting them with those who can share experiences and
knowledge, address concerns, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with
healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventative screening,
and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical
research. Our efforts are urgent, effective and efficient because we believe that tomorrow
can’t wait.

Position Purpose

The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Colorectal Cancer Alliance’s leader in
building, growing, and measuring the Prevention and Screening efforts of the Philadelphia
Colorectal Cancer Prevention Project.
The successful candidate will have experience and proven results leading a social impact
project from startup to growth phase. Project Management, Fundraising, Healthcare
expertise, and Marketing are all important aspects of making this program successful.
The Vice President position offers excellent career opportunities for talented, highly-
motivated and experienced professionals with significant prior experience. The Vice President
will act as a thought leader by helping shape our community-facing point of view, and will
lead, manage, and/or participate as a subject matter expert on colorectal cancer prevention.
The Vice President will provide management, supervision, and leadership to a team of project
managers, marketing professionals and fundraisers. He or she will be responsible for
deepening partner relationships and becoming the go-to strategic thought partner for the
Philadelphia Colorectal Cancer Prevention Project.
Job Duties
 Coordinate screening implementation plan.
 Manage and execute grant and funds disbursement process.

 Manage Board and Volunteer Committee Management.
 Manage and execute partnership and community cultivation.
 Manage, execute, and measure program plan.
 Donor cultivation and management of fundraising firm.
 Set strategic quality goals, measurable outcomes and innovative approaches to program
implementation.
 Oversee analytics and QA of data from multiple sources in support of performing
operational reporting and quantitative analysis including utilization and health costs
associated.
 Oversee Local Advisory Committee. Initiates collaborative innovation projects and
evaluates relationships and outcomes.
 Lead program compliance activities including HIPAA.
 Work in collaboration with industry partners to insure cost efficient, high quality programs
that meet the needs of the community.
 Manage fundraising initiatives with a focus on grant dissemination and fund
disbursement.
 Work in collaboration with the community partners to identify and implement prevention
and screening initiatives.
 Review and oversee analytics systems.
 Maintain awareness of existing and emerging colorectal cancer screening technologies
and healthcare information.
 Review clinical trends and work with the clinical partners for continuous program
improvement.
 Work with the clinical partners in creating and deploying evidenced based best practices.
 Build and monitor medical professional and hospital relationships.
 Participate in appropriate State and National professional organizations and alliances
including NCCRT.
 Participate in strategic planning with Corporate Executive Team.
Qualifications
 A minimum of 10-15 years professional experience.
 Proficient knowledge of the cancer field, colorectal cancer screening and cancer
prevention.
 Excellent writing and organizational skills.
 Proficient project management skills.
 Excellent verbal communications skills and the ability to make oral presentations.
 The ability to foster and develop new partnerships for program development.

treatment; be an advocate for the Colorectal Cancer Alliance and its mission.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Interact professionally with other employees, constituents, medical professionals, and
vendors.
- Work effectively as a team contributor on all assignments.
- Work under the direction of the CEO while understanding the necessity for
communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and
organizations.
