Senior Coordinator of Marketing
The Colorectal Cancer Alliance seeks a collaborative, hardworking and detail-oriented person for the role of Senior Coordinator of Marketing. This position is a critical part of a fast-moving and entrepreneurial marketing and communications team, inside a growing nonprofit based in downtown Washington, DC.
The Senior Coordinator of Marketing will work across departments to highlight the Alliance’s initiatives and events, with an emphasis on the organization’s Undy RunWalk series in 22 cities across the country.
A highly visible role, this position is responsible for creating and disseminating accurate, engaging, and timely marketing materials across marketing channels, including traditional mail, emails, social media, paid media, and in-kind media, according to established marketing plans. This role also guides volunteers who support marketing efforts in their locales.
We are seeking a bright individual who is willing to execute day-to-day marketing tasks and flex their creative side to help develop the engaging marketing our nonprofit needs.
The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national organization committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime. We help patients and families, survivors and caregivers, navigate their diagnosis and treatment, connecting them with those who can share experiences and knowledge, address concerns, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventive screening, and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical research. The primary purpose of this position is to increase engagement with the Alliance’s programs and events. The coordinator will implement and support marketing plans for the organization across key initiatives.
Responsible for assisting in the marketing of Alliance initiatives.
Coordinate the creation and dissemination of event-specific email marketing, including the creation and editing of copy.
Serve as the marketing liaison with local volunteers in communities across the country.
Create marketing toolkits for local volunteers, enabling volunteers to amplify our message while maintaining the brand.
Secure local and national media partnerships, both in-kind and paid for Alliance events.
Manage advertisements in digital, and printed materials.
Manage sponsorship fulfillment in online and print marketing materials.
Track and report on marketing efforts, create plans to shift strategy based on results.
Bachelor degree in marketing or related field
Demonstrated success in driving traffic and converting visitors to event participants.
1-2 years managing and implementing an online marketing plan, pitching, and managing both paid and in-kind campaigns
Proven track record in managing a comprehensive marketing strategy, including social channels, emails, and budget.
Superior written and communications skills.
Superior project management skills.
10% travel is anticipated for this position.
