Annual Fund Manager

While many nonprofits talk about creating transformative change yet fail to take bold steps to achieve it, the Colorectal Cancer Alliance has just embarked on an audacious $100 million fundraising campaign to change the way the world is impacted by colorectal cancer.  We are looking for an Annual Fund Manager who will be vital to turning this exciting vision into reality. If you have experience in direct response campaigns, this is an incredible opportunity to join an organization at an inflection point in its history, and use your expertise to change the world.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national nonprofit organization committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime. We help patients, families, survivors, and caregivers navigate diagnosis and treatment options, connect them with those who can share experiences and knowledge, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventative screening, and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical research.  Our efforts are urgent, effective, and efficient because we believe that tomorrow can’t wait.

The Annual Fund Manager will join a talented individual giving staff  that values both the art and science behind fundraising. Team members appreciate combining storytelling with strong performance driven analytics to develop high quality outreach campaigns. The right candidate for this position will be comfortable both crunching data and being creative during their first year on the job to achieve the following goals:

  • Raise $750,000 from direct response driven through messaging current donors and acquiring new audiences. new donor acquisition and current donor upgrades.

  • Manage external vendors to successfully execute 3 mailings in 2019 and a comprehensive mailing schedule in 2020.

  • Build out online and social media campaigns to leverage our influencers and encourage support from our donor community.

  • Collaborate with the Alliance’s data intelligence, marketing and communications departments to develop strategy and content that effectively facilitates the stewardship of donors.

  • Grow a portfolio of donors with capacity to give gifts in the $1,000 to $10,000 range.

It is not an understatement to say that this position will be responsible for saving thousands of lives and improving countless more.  The urgency of the situation due to the 1.4 million people in the US that have this disease requires that we find someone who can deliver results immediately.  We believe that previous experience in managing direct response campaigns is essential and that experience in writing and creating fundraising collateral would best prepare someone to be successful in this role.  However, if you don’t have this background yet feel you could make the case for how your experience has prepared you to achieve these goals, we’d like to hear from you.
