Individual Giving Manager

Are you looking for a meaningful job? Do you want to use your expertise in leading and managing all aspects of non-profit fundraising events to help save lives and make a positive impact on those in need? Then come join the Colorectal Cancer Alliance team as Individual Giving Manager.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national nonprofit organization committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime. We help patients, families, survivors, and caregivers navigate diagnosis and treatment options, connect them with those who can share experiences and knowledge, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventative screening, and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical research. Our efforts are urgent, effective, and efficient because we believe that tomorrow can’t wait.

To reach our ambitious goals, the Alliance must build and leverage partnerships with healthcare organizations, social support organizations, and other stakeholders. If we succeed, the Alliance can more effectively scale the impact of its programs through existing reach into communities, especially those communities facing health disparities in colorectal cancer diagnoses and outcomes. The Alliance is seeking an Individual Giving Manager with a key focus on growing and sustaining the mid-level donor program. This manager will be a critical member of the Individual Giving Team.

Some goals the successful applicant will need to achieve in the first year include:

  • In year one, build a portfolio of 125-150 donors who will make an annual gift of at least $1,000. Identify, solicit, and steward this group to achieve a $125,000 revenue goal. Grow the portfolio in year two to increase the number and amount given from this portfolio via individual gifts to at least $175,000.
  • Oversee the individual outreach to previous mid-level donors during key times of the year when solicitation campaigns are active.
  • Partner with the Annual Fund Manager and Senior Director of Individual Giving to tailor stewardship communication pieces (including the Annual Report) to the mid-level donor group.
  • Develop strategy to identify, qualify and communicate with the pipeline of potential mid-level donors to move them to individual annual gifts of at least $1,000.
  • Organize and execute donor events on relevant Alliance topics along with the necessary follow up to those who participate to facilitate appropriate moves for each donor. These can be virtual or in-person events and will require partnership with various pillar leaders and others within the organization.

It is not an understatement to say this position will be part of a team responsible for saving thousands of lives and improving countless more. With 1.4 million people in the US living with colorectal cancer, we have urgency to find someone who can deliver results immediately. If you believe you have the experiences and ability to successfully achieve these goals, we’d like to hear from you!
