Email Marketing Manager

Are you looking for a meaningful job?  Do you want to wake up each morning knowing the work you do will save lives or make a positive impact on those in need?  Then come join the Colorectal Cancer Alliance team!

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national nonprofit organization committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime. We help patients, families, survivors, and caregivers navigate diagnosis and treatment options, connect them with those who can share experiences and knowledge, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventative screening, and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical research.  Our efforts are urgent, effective, and efficient because we believe that tomorrow can’t wait.

The urgency of our work is demonstrated by the recent growth of the organization and the increase in the number of activities and campaigns we conduct.  We have reached a tipping point where we now need an Email Marketing Manager to help us conduct more effective programmatic, marketing, and fundraising email campaigns.  These campaigns will help us share vital information about the latest news in colorectal cancer research, identify and engage with volunteers, and raise the funds necessary to change the lives of those fighting this disease.

Some goals the successful applicant will need to achieve over the course of the first year include:

  • Develop a comprehensive organizational approach that allows the Alliance to strategize, create, and implement email campaigns that maximize their impact on activities and engagement of Allies.

  • Create a set of organizational best practices for other Alliance departments in their use of Pardot, including strategy, list segmentation, creative and messaging, and deployment.

  • Set up, monitor, and maintain complex journeys, triggers, and automation with static and dynamic content to reduce the level of manual effort needed for each individual email campaign.

  • Increase our lead generation capabilities online and through our events.

It is not an understatement to say that this position will be part of a team responsible for saving thousands of lives and improving countless more.  The urgency of the situation due to the 1.4 million people in the US that have this disease requires that we find someone who can deliver results immediately.  We believe that previous experience in managing effective email campaigns is essential to prepare someone to be successful in this role. However, if you don’t have this background yet feel you could make the case for how your experience has prepared you to achieve these goals, we’d like to hear from you.  Interested candidates may apply by sending an email with a cover letter and resume to jobs@ccalliance(dot)org. Please include "Email Marketing Manager" in the subject of the email.
