Director of Information Technology
Are you looking for a meaningful job? Do you want to use your expertise in data and technology to help save lives or make a positive impact on those in need? Then come join the Colorectal Cancer Alliance team as our next Director of Information Technology!
The Colorectal Cancer Alliance is a national nonprofit organization committed to ending colorectal cancer within our lifetime. We help patients, families, survivors, and caregivers navigate diagnosis and treatment options, connect them with those who can share experiences and knowledge, and identify resources to meet their needs. We partner with healthcare professionals and social influencers to raise awareness of preventative screening, and we collaborate with researchers to better understand the disease and fund critical research. Our efforts are urgent, effective, and efficient because we believe that tomorrow can’t wait.
The Director of Information Technology, reporting to the Vice President of Data Intelligence and Technology, will be responsible for developing strategies regarding our data and technology infrastructure and executing them successfully to help us reach our ambitious programmatic goals. In addition to assisting the VP in the creation of the overall strategic technology roadmap for the organization, the Director of IT will have a particular focus on our internal systems and platforms. This includes management and oversight of the Alliance’s Salesforce instance which is the current backbone of both our fundraising infrastructure and of the programmatic services we provide to our community.
Some goals the successful applicant will need to achieve over the course of the first year include:
Lead our Salesforce implementation (which includes reviewing and streamlining data structures) to achieve the goal of automating at least five donation reports and creating at least five custom views for our pillar teams by the end third quarter of 2021.
Analyze and create strategies to ensure our helpdesk responds to each ticket in 24 hours and addresses each ticket in an average of 72 hours by end of 2021.
Create a technology onboarding process with documented checklists and a monthly training program by the end of the third quarter in 2021.
Develop a hardware management strategy which includes hardware acquisition policy, inventory system, and replacement timelines by end of 2021.
Successfully implement a process to capture programmatic data in Salesforce (or comparable) and develop a dashboard solution that reports Key Performance Indicators for at least three metrics across two programmatic pillars by the end of the third quarter of 2021
It is not an understatement to say that this position will be part of a team responsible for saving thousands of lives and improving countless more. The urgency of the situation due to the 1.4 million people in the US that have this disease requires that we find someone who can deliver results immediately. If you have that previous experience or feel like you can make the case why your background would allow you to be successful in this role, we’d like to hear from you! Interested candidates may apply by sending an email with a cover letter and resume to email@example.com. Please include "Director of Information Technology" in the subject of the email.
The office is based in Washington, DC, however, the position may be remote.
