Welcome to the Undy Run/Walk Family, Pittsburgh, Detroit & NYC!
What’s in a name?
It is with great pleasure that we welcome the cities of Pittsburgh, Detroit and New York City to the Undy Run/Walk family!
Why do those cities sound so familiar, you ask? Well, these cities have been proud hosts of Scope It Out 5Ks through the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation. As we enter into our second year as a merged organization, we want to complete the merging of our amazing 5K series.

Is the Scope It Out race going away?
Nope - it’s the same race, but with a new name! And while the event is changing from a Scope It Out to the Undy Run/Walk, the event will remain as exciting as ever.
Why the name change?
The Colon Cancer Alliance and the Chris4Life Colon Cancer Foundation merged in order to provide one voice for our community. We feel that it is important that we have one signature program to represent this voice.
What will change about event day?
The 5K will remain a terrific, engaging event and will include a few great additions. Program participants will receive boxer shorts as part of their registration instead of the typical t-shirt, the opening ceremony will include a moment of silence and remembrance flags to honor loved ones no longer physically with us and an inspiring patient/survivor ceremony post race that celebrates survivors with commemorative medals and survivor finisher awards.
Will all Scope It Out races become Undy Run/Walk events?
Nope, the DC Scope It Out has a long history in the Washington, DC area, having started in 2005, and with thousands of participants and ongoing media relationships, we are keeping the DC Scope It Out brand at this time. Additionally, due to logistical reasons and a decline in participation and fundraising at the Madison Scope It Out, we will be discontinuing the Madison race this year.
What can I do to continue to be involved with the organization if my Scope It Out was cancelled?
We have events across the country that may be of interest to you as well as opportunities to honor a loved one or friend with a Blue Star Tribute page or create your own Do It Yourself fundraising event within your local community.
When will the former Scope It Out races be in 2017?
