We’re proud to tell you that in 2014, we met all of the requirements for the National Health Council Standards of Excellence Certification Program®! This program ensures patient advocacy group members maintain the highest standards of organizational effectiveness and public stewardship.
Compliance is determined through evaluation of responses to a survey conducted every three years and analysis of accompanying supporting documents, such as bylaws, audited financial statements and annual reports. The CEO and a senior board officer are required to certify that the information contained in the survey and supporting documents is accurate.
The National Health Council demands the highest standards of accountability and ethical practice from its patient advocacy group members to assure the public that these organizations are worthy of support. Before you donate, look for the seal of excellence. (We have it!) Learn more about this program.
Don’t forget, the Colon Cancer Alliance serves as a source of information about colon health. If you have additional questions about colon cancer screening or are in need of support, please contact our free Helpline at (877) 422-2030. We’re here to help.
