Winning a Webby Award can not only boost an organization’s reputation and credibility, but can also attract new members, clients, and investors who value innovation and excellence in the digital sphere.

The Colorectal Cancer Alliance has been nominated to receive two Webby Awards for its LEAD FROM BEHIND campaign in the following categories:

For the Alliance, winning a Webby Award means the opportunity to generate positive media coverage, celebrate the hard work and dedication of our team, and help save lives in our mission to end colorectal cancer in our lifetime. However, we need your help to get there.

What is a Webby Award?

The Webby Awards is an annual international award ceremony that recognizes distinction in the field of digital media. The awards were established in 1996 by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), and since then, have become one of the most prestigious accolades in the digital world.

The Webby Awards honor outstanding achievements in websites, apps, social media, video, advertising, and more. Each year, thousands of entries from all over the world are submitted and reviewed by a panel of judges, including industry experts, creative leaders, and celebrities.

Winning a Webby Award signifies that the organization has been recognized by some of the most respected and influential voices in the digital industry, and that their work stands out amongst their peers. Being nominated is a great achievement in itself, as it means the organization has made it past the rigorous judging process and is among the top contenders in their respective categories.

LEAD FROM BEHIND

LEAD FROM BEHIND is founded by Brooks Bell and powered by the Colorectal Cancer Alliance. LEAD FROM BEHIND’s mission is to make colon cancer famous by:

  • Raising awareness and breaking the stigma
  • Saving 100,000+ lives in the next decade
  • Ensuring equitable access to resources

LEAD FROM BEHIND, in partnership with Maximum Effort, featured Ryan Reynold’s and Rob McElhenney’s public video showing their colonoscopies in an effort to spread awareness. It has gained so much attention, it was nominated for two Webby Awards!
