"A Facebook post saved my life." —David
Every year, one of my friends posts about getting screened for colorectal cancer, because his mother passed away from it.
He saved my life with that post.
By the time I was diagnosed with stage IIIa colon cancer at the age of 58, it had already progressed through my intestinal wall and started spreading to nearby lymph nodes. If I had waited — if my friend hadn’t posted about screening — I might not be here today.
When I was diagnosed, the information I found through the Colorectal Cancer Alliance made my wife and me believe our family could make it through. And now I partner with the Alliance to spread the message about screening and prevention.
Please join me in supporting an organization that provides access to screenings and ensures no one feels alone when the impossible becomes a reality.
