The Colon Cancer Alliance’s Buddy Program provides peer-to-peer support from those who have been there to new colorectal cancer patients and caregivers.

Buddies are there to listen, offer support, and share their experiences. Buddies are matched based on stage of diagnosis, age, gender, and primary concerns.

Pat Febbraro
Stage IV survivor & CCA Buddy

As an ex-police officer, Pat Febbraro had been through his fair share of scares. But none compared to a cancer diagnosis. And when he was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer, Pat was in a state of panic and disbelief. But instead of accepting his doctor’s suggestion, to “go enjoy the rest of his life,” he got up, dusted himself off and searched for a way to beat this cancer. And he shares his positive attitude and changed outlook as a CCA Buddy, helping the newly diagnosed and their families deal with the challenges he overcame.
