About Me:
decided to get involved when my sister, Darlene, was diagnosed with Stage IV Colon Cancer at the age of 53. I couldn't believe that this cancer is preventable if found early. I couldn't believe that there isn't more available information warning the general public. I vowed to my sister that I was going to do something about this and not sit idly by watching someone else go through what my sister now faces, the biggest, toughest battle for her life. If I can help to get the word out there about early detection through the media, literature, events, health fairs, etc., than I am more than happy to do so. When I told my sister that I was looking into this, she thought it was fantastic. That gave me the sense that I was on the right track.
