About Me:
I got involved with CCA because my mother was diagnosed with Colon Cancer back in April of 2005. It was Stage 4, which is the worst stage. She went through a lot of chemo and radiation. Some of the medicine she was on worked and sometimes it didn't. Around November she started loosing her hair and she was tired all the time.On Feburary 8th, 2006, my family had to put her in Hospice where she spent her last days.We had the entire family there including relatives from another state. Sadly to say, on February 11th, 2006 at 9:07 pm, my mother departed to heaven. It was the longest four days that all of us spent and hardly anyone slept.
We are sad that she is gone, but we are glad she is no longer suffering. She left behind three kids, six beautiful grandkids, three sisters and many, many great friends that will miss her very dearly. God Bless, Tammy Jeffries, Voices of Knoxville
