When you need answers to your questions, support, and connections to others so you can know you are not alone call the Colon Cancer Alliance's Helpline.

Answers to Your Questions.
When you or a loved one faces colorectal cancer (CRC) you must learn a whole new vocabulary and begin to navigate the often troubled waters of our health care system.  CCA's Helpline is a beacon in those waters because you can learn about standards of treatment, the normalcy of your body's reactions to surgery and treatment, and guidance regarding what to expect in the coming months. Our Helpline is also a great place to learn more about CRC awareness, CRC screening, and the latest on genetic testing options in your area. There are no "bad" questions, so do not feel embarrassed or silly to ask anything of our staff.

Support.
All of us need to be listened to and cared about when we face the crisis of illness.  Whether you are a Survivor of CRC or someone supporting a loved one with CRC, calling our helpline connects you with someone who will listen to your story, and support you in the wide range of emotions and reactions you might have—all of which are normal.

Connections to Know You are Not Alone.
Calling our Helpline will also allow you to speak to someone about all of CCA's different support services, including our Buddy Network and My CRC Connections, our online colorectal cancer community. Sometimes we feel more comfortable engaging in support programs once we have an opportunity to connect with someone and understand how they work.  Learning that others have been in your position, know what it means to go through this disease, and are willing to be of support to you can help you through this difficult time.

Calls can be made anytime to our Helpline, but it is answered live Monday-Friday from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm EST by our Patient Support Team, Jeannie Moore and Nancy Butterworth. Both Jeannie and Nancy have extensive experience helping patients and their caregivers through the many issues faced during the crisis of an illness.
