Awareness

Distribute colorectal cancer awareness materials in your community (i.e., local stores, places of worship, doctor’s offices, community centers, etc.); contact local non-profit organizations such as Gilda’s Club, Wellness Community or United Ostomy Association of America about coordinating or participating in an event; or attend a community health fair and provide prevention and early detection information.
Contact local media outlets about sharing your story or doing a story about colorectal cancer survivors.

Fundraising

Approach human resources about having Blue Star Denim Dollar Days. Employees would pay to wear jeans on a designated day.
Create a tribute page.

Education

Encourage local gastroenterology and oncology offices to inform their colorectal cancer patients about available support services and to order Colon Cancer Alliance patient education materials.

Support

Join the CCA Buddy Program and provide support to others affected by colorectal cancer.
