Dr. Lacouture’s Skin Care for People Living with Cancer by Mario Lacouture, MD, Associate Member, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer CenterMore and more people are living with and surviving cancer than ever before. However, cancer treatment—for colon cancer, in particular—may cause unexpected side effects to the skin, hair and nails. How can patients navigate these changes without affecting their treatment, their appearance or even their sense of who they are? Written by Dr. Mario Lacouture, an expert in the dermatologic side effects of anti-cancer medications, this book offers clear information and practical suggestions for preventing, treating and living through these skin, hair and nail changes. For every order of the book through the CCA website, $5 will go to support the CCA’s mission. |

Seasons of Sweetbriar Photographic CollectionCountry music legend Alan Jackson has approached the CCA with a limited supply of beautifully hardbound photo books, Seasons of Sweetbriar, holding more than 200 images of the picturesque Jackson family estate in the hills of Tennessee. All of the photos were taken by the country music superstar himself. And after his wife, Denise, was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in December 2010, the couple decided they wanted to do something meaningful with these books. Because of the Jackson’s generosity, 100 percent of book proceeds will be donated to the CCA’s Blue Note Fund. Books are $25 or $50 signed by Alan Jackson, while supplies last.
