On December 13, 2013, Reason to Party hosted their legendary “Never Too Young” event benefiting the Colon Cancer Alliance, raising more than $16,000. Famous for their philanthropic events, Reason to Party works diligently to “make philanthropy fun.” Chief Financial Officer, Brian Pearlman, described their organization as being “built on the idea that philanthropy should be fun yet attainable for those interested in giving back and strengthening their communities…we are proud to have partnered with [the Colon Cancer Alliance] to raise awareness and funds.” This year, Reason to Party’s efforts benefited the Colon Cancer Alliance’s Never Too Young campaign, which focuses on the rise in young onset colon cancer and what people can do about it.
Keeping with their cool esthetic, “Never Too Young”, was located at the luxurious top floor of the Grand Hyatt hotel in the Union Square neighborhood of San Francisco. Guests enjoyed breathtaking, 360-degree views of San Francisco while participating in a silent auction with items donated from well-known figures in music, art and fashion, including world-famed designer and Colon Cancer Alliance board member, Carmen Marco Valvo.
The Colon Cancer Alliance offers its deepest appreciation and thanks to Carmen Marc Valvo, Reason to Party and all the volunteers and supporters for making this event a success. We can’t wait to see what next year has in store!
