The Gallery of Voices
Overview:
As the Colon Cancer Alliance has evolved to more than 9,000 members
so has our challenge to increase our awareness efforts. In accordance
with our mission - to bring the voice of survivors to battle colorectal
cancer through patient support, education, research and advocacy
- the CCA has developed a new visual identity called 'The Voice
of the Ribbon'.
The ribbon has long been associated with cancer and the blue ribbon
is commonly associated with colon cancer. The ribbon remains the
strongest identifier to the Colon Cancer Alliance's cause and has
meaning to those affected by the disease.
As we are dedicated to our goals we continue to seek the involvement
of the colorectal cancer community to add their voice to the growing
number generating awareness. The CCA is proud to sponsor 'The Gallery
of Voices'.
'The Gallery of Voices' is a traveling art exhibit created by the
colorectal cancer community and made its debut during the Two-Day
Colon Cancer March on October 18-19, 2003 in Washington, D.C. The
CCA is seeking participation from anyone touched by this illness.
We encourage you to use 'The Gallery of Voices' to pay tribute
to a survivor, caregiver or a medical professional, to memorialize
a lost loved one, or just to share your thoughts. The Gallery of
Voices will become a powerful statement that will demonstrate our
combined voices loud and clear.
