Important Messages

• The Baltimore Marathon begins at 8am on Saturday, October 13, 2007.  Give yourself extra travel time due to road closures. For more information regarding road closures visit The Baltimore Marathon website.

Helpful Hints

What to pack

• comfortable and casual clothes
• Bring a sweater (the rooms can get cold)
• Bring a highlighter
• Bring tissues
• Check with your airlines regarding carry-on items
• Pack your medication in your carry-on luggage if allowed (checked baggage has been known to get lost)

Hotel

• Check-in: 4:00 pm, Check-out: 12:00 pm
• The Tremont Plaza will hold attendees’ luggage after check-out until the end of the conference sessions on Sunday, October 14, 2007
• Valet Parking is available for $25 per day with in & out privileges. For more information, visit the conference travel webpage
• All Conference sessions will take place at the Tremont Grand Conference Center. Attendees can take the Tremont Plaza Hotel elevator to the 5th floor and use the connecting skywalk to get to the Tremont Grand Conference Center. The skywalk is like a hallway

Dining

• Conference registration includes the following meals: Friday Welcome Reception (hors d’oeuvres), breakfast, lunch and breaks on Saturday and Sunday

Area attractions

• Harborplace & The Gallery is Baltimore’s premiere shopping, dining and entertainment destination. This great variety of stores are all located within two waterfront pavilions and a beautiful four-story glass atrium in Baltimore’s famous Inner Harbor. Satisfy any hunger craving at 30 different eateries or one of 12 restaurants including The Cheesecake Factory, California Pizza Kitchen and Phillips Seafood Restaurant. Harborplace & The Gallery is located 6 blocks from The Tremont Plaza Hotel. The hotel offers shuttle service to the Inner Harbor from 7am to 10:30pm.

Welcome Reception

The Friday evening reception is an opportunity to meet and get to know other attendees in a fun, social setting before the conference.

The evening’s theme is Changing Times.  Come dressed in clothes from the decade you were born or a decade you admire.  We will celebrate life in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s.

Hors D'Oeuvres and non-alcoholic beverages will be served.  There will also be a cash bar.

Saturday Evening

The Colon Cancer Alliance has reserved the Doric Room on Saturday, October 13, 2007 from 5:00 pm -11:00 pm for attendees to socialize in a relaxed, unstructured setting.

The Doric Room is located on the fourth floor of the Tremont Grand.
