The latest project of The Colon Club brought together seventeen model-survivors to create the 2006 Colondar, a calendar of young men and women who have survived colorectal cancer after being diagnosed under the age of 50.

The 2006 Colondar is not only a racy calendar, it is also educates about colorectal cancer in an unexpected way by telling each model’s personal story. These unlikely survivors, all of whom were diagnosed with colorectal cancer under the age of 50, are revealing their scars and telling their stories to show that their disease can affect anyone at any age. This year’s 18 model-survivors include a college student, a gastroenterologist, an ostomate, a firefighter, a Lieutenant Commander in the U.S. Coast Guard, a nursing student, and a Hurricane Katrina evacuee from Slidell, Louisiana.

Along with their stories and photoes, the 2006 Colondar features US holidays, facts and important dates in colorectal cancer history.
