CCA Complementary and Alternative Medicine Statement

The Colon Cancer Alliance, in keeping with its mission to end the suffering and death caused by colorectal cancer, has adopted a position on Complementary and Alternative Medicine (CAM).

The CCA supports colorectal cancer treatments that have:

• Emerged as a result of evidence-based clinical trials that have been peer reviewed by competent researchers.
• Been approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and are used as indicated. Off-label use is NOT supported by the CCA.

As an organization, the CCA does not allow the promotion or distribution of Complementary and Alternative Medicine on the CCA website or on My CCA Support, the CCA's Online Community.
